Update as of 28 April 2025

Unit C3 at Callide Power Station is offline for an unplanned outage following the major operational safety event that occurred on 4 April 2025.

CS Energy is treating the incident with the utmost seriousness and has implemented a range of controls to ensure the safety of our people and plant.

Our investigations and inspections are ongoing to fully assess what occurred on Unit C3 and the repairs required to safely return the unit to service.

CS Energy has initiated two formal investigations to determine the underlying causes of this event:

  1. A Technical Root Cause Analysis (RCA); and
  2. An Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) investigation led by CS Energy, supported by the Jonah Group.

We are also working closely with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) to support their investigation alongside our own.

The unit is currently forecast to return to service on 30 May 2025.
