Firming and storage

CS Energy is investing in a range of energy technologies to help 'firm' renewable energy, create a more flexible portfolio and support the requirements of our customers.

This includes grid-scale batteries as well as longer duration firming capacity such as pumped hydro and low to zero emission gas-fired generation.

Many of these technologies are an ideal companion for renewables because they are fast-response and can respond to sudden shortfalls in the grid.
