CS Energy has announced that Chief Executive Officer Darren Busine has tendered his resignation.
Mr Busine joined CS Energy in May 2016 as Chief Financial Officer and has since served in various senior executive leadership roles in response to the evolving needs of the business. He was appointed as CEO in July 2023.
CS Energy Chairman Tony Bellas thanked Mr Busine for his service to the business.
“Darren successfully led CS Energy through a significant period of rebuilding, including overseeing the return to service of both Callide C units and the diversification of CS Energy’s operations into renewables, energy storage and gas-fired generation,” Mr Bellas said.
“The Board holds Darren’s executive leadership in high regard and extends its best wishes to him for the future.”
Mr Busine tendered his resignation on 3 April and his last day of official duties will be 2 May. After taking some time off, he will explore part-time work opportunities.
The process for the search for a new CEO has commenced.
