The recent $90 million major overhaul of Kogan Creek Power Station was the biggest overhaul in CS Energy’s history.
Over the course of 83 days, workers opened up key components of the power station for inspections, maintenance and upgrades.
Priority work areas included the low pressure turbine, reheater, boiler, generator circuit breaker and fabric filters.
The video below provides an inside look at the overhaul using time lapse footage from GoPros in the turbine hall, plus other video shot at site.
Thank you to all employees and contractors involved in the overhaul, including our principal contractors Downer, Siemens and Intertek.
