CS Energy is pleased to announce that Andrew Bills has joined the business as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Bills has more than 20 years’ experience in the energy and infrastructure industry. Most recently, he was Origin Energy’s General Manager LPG and Health, Safety and Environment in their Energy Markets division.
CS Energy Chairman Jim Soorley said Mr Bills was an outstanding choice who brings significant commercial acumen and energy expertise to the business.
“Andrew knows the energy market and understands the opportunities and challenges ahead,” Mr Soorley said.
“He has worked across trading, retail, generation, LPG, solar, and renewables, and has also served as a director on multiple boards.”
Mr Bills, who commenced in the CEO role this week, said he looked forward to building on the turnaround program that had returned CS Energy to profit in recent years.
“CS Energy is in great shape, with a purpose-led strategy in place to diversify the business in the changing energy market,” Mr Bills said.
“I’m looking forward to taking CS Energy’s performance to the next level to create a commercially sustainable future for the business.”
Mr Bills’ appointment follows the departure of former CS Energy CEO Martin Moore, who left CS Energy at the end of his contract in August this year to pursue the next step in his career. Executive General Manager Revenue Strategy Darren Busine served as Acting CEO in the interim, prior to Mr Bills commencing in the role.
