Thirteen organisations in the Banana Shire and Western Downs Regional Council areas are sharing in more than $94,000 in CS Energy sponsorship – from iconic regional festivals to local schools and community groups.
Recipients of Round 9 of CS Energy’s Community Sponsorship Program include the Chinchilla Melon Festival, International Legends of League in Woorabinda, Drought Angels, Biloela State School, Thangool Playgroup, PCYC Dalby and Warra Progress and Heritage Society.
CEO Andrew Bills said CS Energy offered two sponsorship rounds per year to community groups and not-for-profit organisations located in the regions that host its operations.
“Our sponsorships typically range from $1,000 to $20,000 and are awarded to projects that we believe will have a lasting, positive impact on the community,” Mr Bills said.
“Having just attended the Chinchilla Melon Festival last weekend, I’ve seen how important these events are for community morale and attracting visitors to the region.
“Our sponsorships program also assists not-for-profit organisations with much needed equipment and infrastructure upgrades.”
