CS Energy is proud to support another first-class musical experience on Queensland’s Western Downs by sponsoring the Queensland Music Festival’s Opera at Jimbour event on 27 July.
A regular Queensland Music Festival event since 2003, Opera at Jimbour returns for a musical gala featuring the greatest opera classics of all time.
Located on the grounds of the historic Jimbour House near Dalby, Opera at Jimbour will include market stalls and live opera performances from Simon Kim, Sarah Crane, Hayley Sugars, Shaun Brown and the Queensland Youth Orchestra.
MC and Director Jason Barry-Smith will be on site as Master of Ceremonies, while Vanessa Scammell will be on conductor duties.
Earlier this year, CS Energy sponsored the Big Skies Festival’s Day on the Plain concert, which was also held at Jimbour House.
CS Energy Head of Corporate Affairs Nev Conway said CS Energy decided to support both events because they were about bringing musical experiences to regional communities.
“For people living west of the Great Dividing Range, these kinds of events don’t happen as frequently as in Brisbane,” Mr Conway said.
“The Queensland Music Festival brings music to all corners of the state.”
