Community groups in the Banana, Western Downs and Somerset Regional council areas are encouraged to apply for the second round of CS Energy sponsorships for FY2019.
Round 2 of CS Energy’s community sponsorships program is open until 28 February 2019 and follows the success of Round 1 where 15 community groups and not-for-profit organisations received funds.
CS Energy Head of Corporate Affairs Nev Conway said CS Energy placed a strong emphasis on contributing to the social and economic wellbeing of the communities that host its operations.
"CS Energy's power stations are part of the community in Biloela, Chinchilla and Brisbane Valley and many of our employees live locally in these areas," Mr Conway said.
“Our Community Investment Program will support partnerships and sponsorships that have a clear benefit for communities in the Banana, Western Downs and Somerset local government areas.
“We will prioritise projects that create lasting change and address an area of need.”
To be eligible for a sponsorship, community projects or events must align with one or more of CS Energy’s investment areas of focus:
- Safety and environment
- Social and community development
- Education
- Culture and art
- Active and healthy communities.
